Shlishi School
For 7th – 12th Graders, our mission is to engage our teens through experiential education, empower them to be knowledgeable, active members of the Jewish community and create social experience to have fun with their Jewish friends. In addition to their social time together, all of our teens have numerous learning opportunities with our Rabbi.
Our Tuesday night Shlishi School program is a wonderful educational and social opportunity for our teen to acquire Jewish skills, strengthen his/her Jewish identity and prepare him/herself to live according to Jewish traditions and values. This joint venture between our Education and Youth department combines formal as well as informal and social learning environments. Our Rabbi engages in both classroom and outside venues to create lasting relationships with our teens. Those who participate have the opportunity to focus on learning Judaism through a variety of lenses while socializing with other Jewish teens.
Rabbinic Involvement
Our 7th and 8th grade teens meet monthly with our Rabbi. 9th -12th graders meet weekly on Tuesday nights for “Tuesdays with Rabbi” to discuss current Hot Topics through a Jewish lens, prior to their youth activities. 11th and 12th graders meet monthly at local restaurants for dinner and discussion.
