Solel means “pathfinder,” and that is what we strive to be for today’s Jews. We help Jews create “GPS systems” for opportunities for spiritual growth, ongoing learning, and ways to respond to the challenges of contemporary life. We help our members connect to Judaism, and the entire Jewish people. Worship services…creative musical programs…outdoor worship….youth education….youth programming….continuing Jewish education…..social justice….caring for the environment…..,life cycle celebrations….

Our Stained Glass Windows Tell a Story
- Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur (Top Left) This represents the scales of justice, the shofar, candle for Yiskor and Yahrzeit to remember our departed loved ones.
- Sukkot (Top Right) Depicted are the lulav and the etrog inside the Sukkah, including, the horn of plenty, representing thanksgiving.
- Simchat Torah (Bottom Left) The Torah is under the chuppah because whoever is called to read is called the bride or groom of the Torah. It also depicts an angel holding the Torah.
- Chanukah (Bottom Middle) In this window is a menorah, jar of oil, dreidel, and the shield of David, representing the victory of the Maccabees.
- Tu B’Shevat/Shabbat (Bottom Right) This represents the preservation of the environment, the Creation, and Shabbat.
- Purim (Top Left): This window is filled with carnival colors. There are masks, streamers, the Megillah, and the crown of Esther.
- Pesach/(Passover) (Top Right): This represents the parting of the Red Sea. The chains of bondage are broken.
- Yom Hashoa/Holocaust/Tisha B’Av (Bottom Left): This window represents a horrible chapter in Jewish history. The background depicts the burning of the Temple in Jerusalem 2000 years ago, symbolizing Ti’sha B’Av.
- Yom Haatzma’ut/Israel Independence Day (Bottom Middle): The olive branch in the beak of the dove is the universal symbol of peace.
Shavuot: (Bottom Right) This window represents the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses at Mt. Sinai. - Shavuot (Bottom Right): This window represents the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses at Mt. Sinai.
