We are committed to guiding students on a lifelong journey
The Temple Solel School of Living Judaism, which encompasses both our departments of Youth and Education, offers a unique Jewish learning program for Jewish children, offering an experiential environment that invites them to learn and discover Hebrew, traditions, culture, Israel and more, in an informal experiential setting. As the school in a Reform Temple, our community is firmly rooted in Jewish tradition. We are committed to guiding students on a lifelong journey to explore their Jewish identities and find meaningful ways to bring Judaism into contemporary life. As our students live these values, they grow to understand the importance of bringing Judaism into every aspect of daily life. At Temple Solel, a religious education will result in a strong, positive Jewish identity that will last a lifetime and inspire lifelong learning.
Our post-b’nai mitzvah program is designed to engage teens through experiential education, empower them to be knowledgeable, active members of the Jewish community and create social experience to have fun with their Jewish friends.
Through this wonderful educational and social opportunity for our teen to acquire Jewish skills, strengthen his/her Jewish identity and prepare him/herself to live according to Jewish traditions and values, this joint venture between our Education and Youth department combines formal as well as informal and social learning environments. Your teen has the opportunity to focus on learning Judaism through a variety of lenses while socializing with other Jewish teens. It is no longer “one size fits all;” rather, we have designed a spectrum of programs that serve as entry points to continue their Jewish journey. Our teens take on leadership positions, and help choose the activities.
