Solel University Classes
In Solel University, we strive to change people’s lives through an intense, meaningful, and often playful encounter with serious Judaism. Judaism is for adults — a sophisticated and often complex way of struggling with the issues of our lives and how the ancient and modern texts shape our perceptions of the world. We take you on a journey — from Torah through modern wisdom — as a way for you to create your own Jewish GPS.

Shabbat Text Study
“Haftarah, Will Travel” | Shabbat Morning Text Study
For many of our members, it is the high point of the week – our Shabbat morning journey through the Haftarah portion of the week. We start with the biblical text – and then we go into the ancient commentators, modern thinkers, contemporary poets. We learn how to read the stories– filling in the gaps of our knowledge, and finding the places where the ancient text speaks to our lives. Plus: one Shabbat a month, we extend the journey into the sources of Jewish mysticism. Shabbat morning Text study is the cornerstone of life at Temple Solel.
